Beautiful Baby Klara's Newborn Portraits - Elk Island

I photographed Klara's parents last fall for their family photos and that's when they told me the news that they were expecting!!  I was so excited for them and thrilled that they wanted me to photograph their first moments as a family once their little one arrived.  It felt like forever waiting for her arrival, but it was so exciting once she finally arrived!

I had planned and prepared for Klara's session for months.  Although we didn't know the sex, we had planned some very special and sentimental set ups that would work whether she were a boy or girl.

In fact, this scarf featured below was brought back from her mother's trip to volunteer in the Sochi Olympics!  How special is that?  Klara's family also has Russain heritage, so this is meaningful in many ways.

Klara's mom and dad spend a lot of time outdoors hiking and camping.  So, I designed this special set up just for them.  It was a bit of a surprise for them and they loved it!

There were so many beautiful images from Klara's gallery, but I'm happy to share my favourites here with you.  I look forward to seeing Klara again for her 6 month milestone session!  We've got big plans for that one too!
