Caleb’s parents were searching for an Edmonton Newborn Photographer to photograph their first son whom they were expecting. That’s when they found me – Everlast Photography! We met at a local coffee shop on the West end of Edmonton and chatted about their expectations for the session. We went over some of the pertinent details, like colour pallet, what to wear, and how to prepare for the session.
However, when we began discussing customizing the session to their family, all sorts of great ideas started flowing! Again, I love the sentimental aspect of incorporating special items, so it was a no-brainer when Caleb’s mom and dad began mentioning a special quilt from his Aunt from back home, using their family bible in his session, and having a setup that featured a special antique toy fire truck!
This little bundle of cuteness surprised everyone when he arrived a couple of weeks early! Welcome to the world little one! He was born at just under 5 pounds but was in complete health, so we arranged for his portrait session in the 5-12 day window, as usual. By the time Caleb made it to the studio, he was already growing bigger and stronger! But, doesn't he still look so small and cute in his images?
One of the most special images for Caleb’s session were the ones that included a single peacock feather! Why? Because this feather is one of the feathers used in Caleb’s parents’ wedding! How special is that? When Caleb grows older he’ll be able to look back through the family albums and see these special elements and how much he meant to his family, before he was even born.
We were also able to capture some other images including some with Dad’s engineering tools and a special image with Grandma. Caleb is grand baby number seven for her!! How amazing would it be to be able to spoil seven grand babies?
All in all, Caleb's session was so wonderful and it was such a pleasure getting to know this family!
