Westyn's Custom Newborn Photo Session - Spruce Grove

When I met Westyn's mom for their consultation, we had so many great ideas and plans for her maternity and newborn sessions.  We talked about the style and feel of the maternity session and our mutual love for floral crowns and chiffon...

But, baby Westyn had other plans that would keep us from creating this beautiful maternity session.  He surprised everyone by arriving well before his due date.  His mom contacted me the night before he was born and asked to move up her maternity session, after a visit with her doctor.  I, of course, gave her my next available date.  However, Westyn arrived the following day.  He was a strong little guy, but needed to have to stay in hospital before coming home with Mom and Dad.

I was so happy once I finally got to meet him and hold him.  He is so handsome and precious.  He was really, really calm and happy for most of his session.  There were a couple of moments when he wasn't happy, and he sure let us know!  I nicknamed him "5 lbs of thunder" after hearing him cry that first time.  But, other than those brief moments, he couldn't have been happier.  I was able to capture a great variety of poses and set ups for his family, which I know will be cherished.

Like always, I love incorporating special items.  I was thrilled that I was able to incorporate Westyn's grandfather's hat into his session.  This special item symbolizes so much and I know that Westyn himself will be proud to see this image, especially as he gets older.

And, look at this double smile we got here!  I LOVE this image so much!  Baby's are always happiest in mom and dad's arms and Westyn is no exception.

I hope you loved taking a peak into Westyn's newborn session.  Please feel free to leave some love for him in the comments below.  If you're interested in booking your own custom session, I'd be happy to start the conversation.  Just click here.
